Tamarack's First Residents Celebrate 60 Years of Love

With the recent opening of Tamarack Ridge, we've been excited to welcome families from our community into our premier facility and serve them with the quality care they deserve. It has been an exhilarating few weeks, meeting some incredible individuals and hearing more about their stories.

Our first two residents happen to be long-time lovers, Glenna and Donald, who got married on February 27th, 1960. When we welcomed them into our facility, one very apparent thing was that their love for each other is out of this world. They kiss each other every morning and every night before going to bed. They can't stand to be apart. They like to spend all day together watching movies and putting together puzzles. We call them the true notebook around here because they are so in love.



When we asked Donald what the trick is to a long and happy marriage, he looked over to his wife and smiled stating, "There is no trick when you are this in love." This made her smile so big, which of course, brought tears to our eyes and melted our hearts. They are everything people hope for in a marriage.

Donald was born in Ravenna, Ohio, but was raised in Brimfield, Ohio, working in a factory. This is when he married his lovely wife, Glenna. Glenna was born in Lakemore, Ohio, and worked as a cashier when she eventually married Donald. From then on, they never left each other's side.

It's such a privilege to hear Glenna and Donald's story. We're so happy they chose Tamarack Ridge for their care, so we can continue to provide a comfortable and quality environment for them.
